Rig Overview

To get started, execute the BLADE.py script. This will activate the custom Blade UI panel in the N-shelf under the 'Item' tab.

The panel organizes controls into key areas:

- Parenting Controls: Manage parent-child relationships, with options keyframeable via the 'PROPERTIES' bone or directly through UI dropdowns.

- Locking Options: Toggle locks for knees and elbows to maintain poses.

- Switching Features: Handle follow behaviors, emission settings, FK/IK transitions, and IK stretching.

- Snapping Tools: Quickly align FK to IK (or vice versa), plus a beta snap for IK hands to default pose (ideal for dual-wield scenarios—disable x-mirror for best results).

- Masking Settings: Adjust weapon appearances and hide/show geometry as needed.

- Collection Management: Grouped bone layers with isolation toggles for streamlined workflow.

All custom properties are centralized on the 'PROPERTIES' bone for easy access.


Additional highlights:

- Nine preset facial expressions available in the pose library; the facial setup is intuitive for manual adjustments. They are setup with the "FACE" and "FACE.TWK" bones

- Hands use an advanced 'Ultimate IK Hand' system (Version 2), blending FK, IK, and macro controls.


Compatibility Notes

Designed in Blender 4.3, this UI works seamlessly with 4.3 and newer releases. Older versions haven't been tested, but feel free to experiment.
